Region Championships
Athletes from the 8s to 15s who do well at Zone Championships can qualify for Region where they compete against athletes from other Centres in Region 8.
Athletes from the 16s and 17s will have direct entry to Region Championships.
Date: 30 January – 1 February 2026
Venue: ES Marks Athletics Field, Moore Park

The top two placegetters in every event at the Region Championships (9s – 17s) automatically qualify for the State Championships.
LANSW/ANSW then selects the next best 8 performances from:
- Each of the 8 Regions Championships
- Any State or World Athletics Permit meet held in NSW between 1st October 2025 to mid February 2026
- Any interstate or National permit meet (by application)
The parents of all competing athletes MUST commit to undertaking a rostered duty at the Region Championships. The events simply cannot take place without the help of parents and carers.
