State Relays

Saturday 20  November & Sunday 21 November 2021 at Sydney Olympic Athletics Centre

The State Relay Championships is the largest event on the LANSW calendar in terms of number of competitors. As the name suggests the Championships are comprised entirely of relay events. The State Relays are held in November each year.

Juniors (8’s to 12’s) compete on 10 November 2024 at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre.

Seniors (13’s to 17’s) compete on 15 – 17 November 2024 at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre.

The final timetable of events and full program will be found here once it is released by LANSW/ANSW.
Teams are chosen by our Championships Officer and selection is based on Friday night competition results for each age group. There are compulsory training sessions for all track teams in the weeks prior to this event.
Performances in each of the field events are allocated points based on the LANSW Multi-Event pointscore system. The performances of all three athletes in each team are added together to determine the final results. Field teams will only be given a final placing in the championships if all three athletes compete.
The parents of all competing athletes MUST commit to undertaking a rostered duty at the State Relays and a roster will be organised once athletes are selected.
Full centre uniform MUST be worn, with age patch, Coles patch and registration number correctly placed on uniforms.
